The diversity of stores and the high-street atmosphere put Surfers in a league of its own when it comes to shopping. Elkhorn Avenue is lined with flagship stores for international brands including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Bally and Prada. When you step into the larger shopping precincts (Circle on Cavil, Centro, the DFS store on Orchid Avenue and Chevron Renaissance) you’ll further discover well-known fashion chains such as Calibre, Billabong, Saba, MNG and Quiksilver, alongside specialty stores, souvenirs and groceries.
The beachside streets take on a more European high-street feel with more unique stores complemented by cafes and alfresco restaurants. There are beachfront markets every Wednesday and Friday nights (weather permitting) from 5.30pm–10pm. If you’re driving then parking is easy and very affordable at the shopping centres and the Bruce Bishop Car Park (Cnr Beach Road and Gold Coast Highway). Surfers Paradise is also a major public transport hub and is serviced by two cab ranks situated in Orchid and Cavill Avenues.
